The ASIS Smoky Mountain & InfraGard Knoxville Members Alliance Chapters presents a joint luncheon seminar on Thursday, March 10, 2016, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The seminar is titled The Natural Laws and Consequences of Cyber Insecurity. This talk will cover the common, underlying vulnerability issues and solutions found after performing numerous assessments for a range of different types of clients. The issues include those of both human and technical failings.

The guest speaker will be Matthew Smith, Principal Security Analyst with Sword and Shield Enterprise Security, Inc. Matt has been active in professional and technical security services for government and commercial clientele for more than 20 years. He is experienced in working all aspects of the system security life cycle from planning and design to implementation and testing.

At Sword & Shield, Matt performs network vulnerability assessments/penetration testing utilizing a combination of commercial, open source, and custom software packages and assists in maintaining corporate knowledge on system vulnerabilities and penetration methods. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and holds the SANS GXPN, GPEN, GAWN, GWAPT and NSA IAM certifications.

All InfraGard Members, ASIS Members, and Guests are welcomed to attend this seminar.

The luncheon is being catered by Famous Dave’s BBQ and will cost $12.50 (cash only, exact change appreciated) and will collected at the door. Receipts will be distributed at the meeting upon payment.
